A short visit, adoption process goes on

Not too much to post today, it was somewhat uneventful because of such a short visit. Roman (ro MAHN) was having car problems this morning so we postponed our daily visit to the afternoon. With rush hour traffic at 3:00 and all, we only got in about a 45 minute visit with Maks and Ira (no Vala today), and we did that outside. We won't be doing the 3pm visit anymore, we spent more time in rush hour snarls than we did visiting the kids. :-P Not much time to do anything with the kids either, other than both munchkins each having a meltdown over doing things we didn't want them to do (running off to go bug other families, give up toys when time to leave), so we had a little practice session of showing toddlers who was in charge today. It was a good excercise for all, and goes with the territory.

We'll hopefully be indoors tomorrow as I think it's going to rain. We definitely have far more problems containing them outdoors (in this playground anyways), and it's easier for them to get into trouble. Of one constant source of problems is the vertical monkey bars. Ira was climbing up them with very slick shoes (but oh so pretty, see pix below) and slipped and probably would've hit her head on the pavement had Papa not been there to catch her...but in the process I wrenched my back a good one which set me back a bit in the healing department. We'll be avoiding the monkey bars till further notice.

Showing off her shoes, she dropped her new McDonald's "iPod" which was very hard to get back from both of them at the end of the day. Maks threw his first Royal Fit in front of the nurses and everyone when we tried to retrieve his. He got a quick firm lesson in "Who's The Boss" (not the kids) in the Livingston house.

One very good piece of adoption news was relayed to us by Marina while we were playing outside. She said that they finally got all of the legal issues resolved today with splitting up our 3 from the rest of their other known siblings...apparently there had been a problem with one district's rules or something, but it's all fine now and back on track. She said we should know a court date in the next day or so, so keep praying that the process would continue smoothly.
